About I.J. Caddick & Co.

Our company has come a long way in the half-century since we were established by 'Paps' - Illtyd John Caddick - in 1945.

He started the business after coming out of the army when the Second World War ended and it has been a family-run company ever since.

We are very proud of our roots and how the company has progressed and grown throughout the decades.

There is a lot of history associated with I J Caddick & Co Ltd. The picture here is from 1855 and shows our current building at the front, next to the Drum and Monkey pub which featured in Alexander Cordell's famous novel Rape of the Fair Country.

Coleg Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire and Blaenau Gwent

We have built up a solid customer base over those years where today we continue to include local councils in Torfaen, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire and Blaenau Gwent as established clients while we have long-standing associations with Gwent Police and Coleg Gwent.

Currently, 28 people are employed by I J Caddick & Co Ltd, all of which are skilled and dedicated to our world-class standards of property development and refurbishment.

There are a wide range of top quality construction services available to our customers while we are members of many industry-recognised organisations and are also accredited to Investors In People.

Apprentice of the Year Award

That means, just as Rhys Howells, who is pictured here receiving his Apprentice of the Year Award at Coleg Gwent, has discovered, we train our employees to the highest standards so that they can bring that talent to you.

Now it is onto the next half-century and beyond as we look to the challenges of the future with real enthusiasm.
